What is the City Ladder, and how do I join one?

The City Ladder is a running rating for everyone playing in your city. Play a match against another member and it moves — win and you climb, lose and you drop — and there's a shared board showing where everyone in your city currently stands.

Joining is opt-in, and you can only be on one city's ladder at a time — the city on your own profile. You'll also need an approved club there; a club still waiting on review doesn't count yet, so if joining isn't showing as an option, that's the first thing worth checking.

Not every city has a ladder running yet. Open the ladder card on your profile and 8nOut tells you which cities do — if yours isn't one of them yet, that's all it will say for now.

You join, and leave, from your own profile, whenever you like. None of it touches your match record, your clubs or your account — it's the ladder itself that changes, nothing else.
