How do I report a concern about child safety?
8nOut has zero tolerance for anything that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or facilitates contact with a child. Every profile, every photo, and every message has its own Report control. Open it, pick a reason, and send it — you don't need to leave the app.
You can also report straight to the authorities yourself, at any time. This is open to anyone, not only 8nOut members, and you don't have to report to us first: NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org, or Offlimits — the Dutch national reporting point, formerly known as Meldpunt Kinderporno — at meldpunt.offlimits.nl.
A person reviews every in-app report; it's never decided by a machine. Depending on what we find, that can mean removing the content, suspending the account, or otherwise acting under our Terms of Service. Where we obtain actual knowledge of child sexual abuse material, or a credible threat to a child's safety, we report it on through the same channels above — 8nOut is not a registered NCMEC reporting entity, and holds no official partner status with NCMEC or Offlimits.
The full standards — including our 16-and-over age requirement and how to write to us directly — are on the Child Safety Standards page linked below.
