Child Safety Standards
8nOut is a community app for the European One Pocket pool community. We have zero tolerance for anything that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or facilitates contact with a child. This page sets out our standards, how to report a concern — inside the app or directly to the authorities — and what happens after you do.
Our standard
8nOut has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This covers any content, message, or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or facilitates contact with a minor — including grooming. It applies everywhere in the app: profiles, photos, messages, and venue listings. There is no exception.
Age on 8nOut
Every member must confirm they are 16 or older when they sign up. 8nOut is not directed at, and not designed for, children.
How to report
Report in the app
Every profile, every photo, and every message in 8nOut has a Report control. You don't need to leave the app to use it. If you see something that concerns you, report it straight away.
Report directly to the authorities
You can also report directly to the authority yourself. This is open to anyone — you don't have to be an 8nOut member, and you don't need to report to us first.
The Dutch national reporting point for child sexual abuse material (formerly known as Meldpunt Kinderporno)
meldpunt.offlimits.nlWhat happens after you report
Every in-app report is reviewed by a human moderator. Where we obtain actual knowledge of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or a credible threat to a child’s safety, we take appropriate action. That can include removing the content, suspending the account, and reporting to NCMEC and/or Offlimits and law enforcement where required.
8nOut is not a registered NCMEC reporting entity, and we hold no special registered-reporting-partner status with NCMEC or Offlimits. When we confirm a case, we escalate it through the same public reporting channels open to anyone — the two links above. We are not a verified reporting entity or an official partner of either organisation.
