Can I delete a match from my record?
The option lives in one place: the full match list on your profile. On iPhone, open Record, tap See all, then swipe a match left and tap Delete. On the web app, tap See all to expand the list, then use the trash icon next to a match. The short preview on your profile, and the Last played match on Challenges, don't offer it — deleting stays on the one screen built for managing your record, not the ones built for a quick glance.
Yes — this always affects your opponent too, and that's the whole point of the feature, not a side effect. Delete a match and it disappears from your record and theirs, permanently. There's no approval step for them, and no undo for either of you afterwards.
Your opponent isn't left guessing why a match is gone. The moment you delete it, they get a notice saying a shared match was removed — nothing for them to do, just a heads-up. If someone deletes a match with you, that's the notice you'll get.
One case isn't fully permanent. A match you imported from CueScore can come back if either of you re-imports that same match from CueScore later — 8nOut only removes its own copy, not CueScore's. A match logged inside 8nOut from a challenge has no other copy anywhere, so once it's deleted, it's gone for good.
Two kinds of match can't be deleted this way, and 8nOut says why instead of just hiding the option. One that's already counted toward a City Ladder rating stays, so the board stays accurate for everyone on it. One that came from a live scoreboard session stays too.
