What does Ready to play mean?

Open to play is a switch on your profile. It is the one thing on 8nOut that says you are up for a game at the moment, rather than in general.

Turn it on and your row on your club's list reads Ready to play. So does your public profile, which anyone with the link can open, or only signed-in members if you're under 18 or haven't confirmed your age. You are on the list either way.

If your club is still waiting to be looked at, there is no club list carrying your row yet. In that case your name carries Ready to play in player search and on your public profile.

Turn it off and nothing else changes. You are on the list either way — the switch only says whether you are up for a game right now.

It is a switch, not a promise. Turn it on before a weekend and off again on Monday. Nobody is told either way.
