How does picking a player work, and what do the others see?

Open My Shout-Outs and tap the respondent count on your own call to bring up the list of everyone who's replied. Both platforms show their name, and a Connected tag if you're already connected to them; on iPhone, each row also shows their photo and how long ago they replied.

Tap Play with next to whoever you'd like to play. If you weren't already connected to them, this creates the connection there and then; if you were, it just settles the call — either way it's the same one tap, and a Connected tag next to a respondent's name tells you in advance which of those two it'll be.

The moment you pick someone, the call is settled for everyone. The player you picked is told you're playing together, since the two of you are connected now. Everyone else who replied — and anyone who saw the call but didn't reply — is only told that you've found a player. Not who.

The same holds in reverse: if you reply to someone else's call and they pick another player instead, you're told the call has been settled, but not who they picked. Your own reply, and anyone else's, is never shown to the other respondents.
