What is "Playing style" on my profile, and who can see it?
Open your bio to edit it — on iPhone that's the Edit bio screen; on the web app it's the same About you card on your Profile page — and you'll find a section called Playing style, sitting between About you and your country and town.
This same question may also come up once during onboarding, as a skippable step shown after the main onboarding sequence. Answer it there or tap Skip for now — either way it won't be asked again, and skipping never blocks you from finishing onboarding. If you've already set either field from your Profile tab before you reach that step, you won't be asked there at all.
Dominant hand is left, right, or ambidextrous. Preferred pocket is left or right only — there's no ambidextrous option here, because a rack is always shot toward one pocket or the other, never both at once.
Both are optional, and independent of each other. Set one and not the other if you like, change either any time, or clear a field back to unset — tap the option you'd already chosen to turn it off again.
These two don't follow the same rule as the rest of your profile. Your bio, your town, your Fargo rating — anyone holding your profile's share link can see those, or only signed-in members if you're under 18 or haven't confirmed your age. Dominant hand and preferred pocket aren't shown to anyone but you, not even another signed-in member. That's stricter than your Activity settings' connections-only option for points, tier and badges — Playing style isn't shown to anyone else at all, connections included.
When either is set, it shows as a small chip just under your bio — for example "Right-handed" and "Shoots: left pocket". Leave a field unset and its chip simply doesn't appear; there's never a "not set" placeholder for anyone else to see.
You'll only ever see these chips on your own profile. You won't see them on anyone else's — not on the map, not in search, not from a shared profile link — even when their dominant hand or preferred pocket is set, because only they can see that themselves.
