How do I add a home table, and who can see it?

A home table is your own spot — a garage, a basement, wherever you actually play. Open your profile, find Home table, and add one. On iPhone and in the web app, tap or drag on the map to place it. On Android, the pin stays in the centre: move the map under it, or tap a spot and the map moves there. Zoom in to be exact. Use my current location brings the map close to you, and then you fine-tune. Give it a name if you like, such as "The garage" or "Thursday table." Leave the name blank and it shows as "One Pocket table" instead. When the pin is on your table, tap Add.

On Android, Use my current location asks only for your approximate location and uses it once, to move the map near you. Your location itself is never sent or stored. Only the spot you place is saved, when you tap Add. If you'd rather type the spot in, open Enter coordinates instead and enter its latitude and longitude.

By default, only your accepted connections can see it, and only roughly: they see that you have a table and about where it is, never your exact address. Nobody else sees anything: no greyed-out pin, no hint that a table exists.

If you're 18 or older, you can choose to show it to all signed-in members instead. Turn on Visible to all members when you add the table, or later under Home table on your profile. When you switch it on, the marker moves to a fresh approximate spot, and that marker is all anyone sees on the map. The circle that shows roughly where connections will see your table disappears while this is on, because it no longer shows where anyone sees the marker. In a city, it points to a neighbourhood, not a street. In a small village, it can narrow things down more than that, so think about where you live before you turn it on. The option only appears if your age group on file is 18 or older. Anyone you've blocked, or who has blocked you, never sees your table.

If your age group on file changes to anything other than 18 or older, your table goes back to connections only straight away. It stays that way until you turn Visible to all members on again yourself.

Your exact address is shared in one situation only: if a challenge to play at your home table is accepted, the other player gets the address for 48 hours — the same way a precise address works everywhere else on 8nOut. Challenges only happen between connections, so a member who finds your table on the map has to connect with you first. Sharing the address never moves or changes the marker.

To go back to connections only, turn off Visible to all members under Home table on your profile. It takes effect straight away. You can have one home table at a time, and there's no edit: to move it or rename it, remove it and add a new one. To remove it, open Home table on your profile and choose Remove; it's off the map right away. If a room name is out of line, open the pin and tap Report room name — it goes to the same review queue as a reported chat message.
